What is the Third Party
Station Retail Cash Program?
Third Party Station Retail Cash Program gives your pharmacy the ability to
submit cash claims on-line and receive rebates for each prescription submitted
(from brand manufacturers). Third Party Station Retail Cash Program is also
a cash discount program that gives you complete control over the discounts
passed on to your patients. No more “guessing” as to how low cash
card programs will discount your retail prices. Simply present this program
to patients requesting a cash discount program and take back control of your
pharmacy operations.

Third Party Station’s Retail Cash Program?
Third Party Station Retail Cash Program assures you rebates (additional revenue)
for each cash prescription you fill. Third Party Station Retail Cash Program
can help you reverse the gross margin erosion caused by third parties and competitive
pricing. If your cash customers have been asking for a cash discount program,
why not give them one with added value?
How do I submit claims?
Submit your cash claims to the claims processor administering this program
(as you would a third party claim) by accessing the appropriate processor
control and bin number. The group number you submit will depend on how competitive
you wish to be with the discount you are giving. You may also select to offer
no discount on your retail price and submit your usual & customary. That’s
it!
How many rebates am
I eligible for in this program?
Two. Instant Rebates and Regular Rebates.
When will I receive
my rebate check?
Your pharmacy will receive an Instant Rebate check on a quarterly basis. Regular
Rebates, if earned, are paid every quarter as well.
What am I receiving
rebates for?
Is this a market share program?
While select brand manufacturers pay discounts or rebates for market share,
your rebate will be reported based on all claims submitted. Due to a 50%+ use
of generics, your rebate check may seem lower than expected. However, when
looking at individual brand products, you may receive as high as a $5.00 rebate
per prescription. When brand and generic prescriptions are combined, this program
has averaged a rebate payout of $0.20 to $0.50 per prescription submitted.
Will my rebates go
up or down?
While we cannot guarantee what rebates will be in the future, we are comfortable
in stating that select brand products are generating rebates. Therefore, the
more qualified (Instant Rebate) brand products submitted, the higher the rebate
pay out will be from this program.
What is the experience
of this program? Is it new?
No. Large buying groups and chains have been enrolled in the program for several
years. They have had great success with the program and have consistently received
rebates each quarter.
What is the enrollment
fee?
None. We incur the expense of the program. All administrative
fees are withheld from rebates prior to their being paid to the pharmacies.
Are there any maintenance
or on-going fees?
The only direct expense you will incur will be for each claim submitted to
our claims processor. Your pharmacy software company usually charges a switching
fee ranging from $0.04 to $0.08 per transaction.
